Estee Lauder products

Hi there!

Hope you all are well. So recently I took a week or two off blogging as I was busy with exams, but I’m finally done and ready to start blogging again. I decided to change things up and do like a one brand review today. I chose Estee Lauder because at one point I was absolutely obsessed with this brand and went out of my way to purchase these products. A little disclaimer, I didn’t purchase these products all at one go. It took a process and of course I’m still a student and I’m working with a student budget. I know I rambled on enough, so let me get straight into this review

1.Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF10 foundation

This product has been known to be a cult favorite for years. Estee Lauder has outdone themselves and improved the shade selection providing to people of different complexions and undertones. This is an amazing formulation which is oil-free, fragrance-free and non-acnegenic. Another thing to take note of and that will put your mind at ease when using this product, it is dermatologist-tested. Being an oily-skinned girl, my skin absolutely loves this product. This foundation lasts all day! It is sweat proof and I can vouch for it being transfer proof. The finish of the foundation is mattifying so if you have dry skin, you can still make this product work with a moisturizing primer and then layer the foundation. A con about this product is that it doesn’t come with a pump, but it can be purchased separately. However, the foundation retails alone at R600.

2. Matte perfecting primer

This product has been discontinued and I think renamed the Mattifier. I’m not sure if it has a different formulation from the old mattifying primer. To be honest I hardly reach out for this product. The double wear foundation on its own is mattifying enough so I don’t feel the need to use this . I’m going to declutter this product soon as I don’t feel the need to keep an old product.

3. Set + Refresh Perfecting Makeup Mist

I’m embarrassed to admit that this was one of those impulse buys. This product is meant to hydrate, help set your makeup and use it to refresh your makeup throughout the day. It contains electrolytes and caffeine that is meant to immediately boosts skin’s radiance. As much as this product contains amazing ingredients, I noticed that I hardly ever reach for this product when doing my makeup. Unless my skin is dry, then I’ll reach for this product. I basically incorporate it into my skincare routine and hardly ever with my makeup. Price: R450

4.Double Wear Brush-on Glow BB Highlighter

This concealer has Photo Optic™ Technology that brightens, perfects and corrects. It claims to have a hydrating formula that instantly gives a refreshed look. This was one product that I disliked from estee lauder. It has a very sheer coverage and provides little coverage to my undereye circles. When I tried to add more product, I noticed throughout the day it creased under my eyes. I am also disappointed with the fact that there is a limited selection of shades and undertones. Hope this improves soon. Price: R48

5.Pure Color Envy Sculpting Blush

Let me start by saying I love this product! I got the color 26 Pink ingenue and it provides a perfect flush of color on my cheeks. It has tiny reflecting sparkles which is almost unnoticeable to the eye but provides a little dewy look. Price: R655

So that’s my review on Estee Lauder products that I have purchased. Let me know in the comments if you like these types of reviews in the comments. That’s all for now. Take care.
